About

West Town Mall is a one-level shopping center located in the West Hills area of Knoxville, Tennessee. Opened in August 1972, it sits along Interstates 40/75 and Kingston Pike. With 1,339,000 square feet of gross leasable area, it is the largest enclosed shopping mall in the state. Its anchor stores include Dillard's, Dick's House of Sport, two Belk locations, JCPenney, and Cinebarre.

At the center of the mall is a food court, which originally housed the junior anchor Frankenbergers Department Store until 1985. Notably, this food court was also the first mall location for Knoxville-based Petro's Chili & Chips.

A major expansion in 1994 added two new anchor stores, further solidifying West Town Mall’s status as the largest enclosed mall in Tennessee.
